A new role at the BHA focussed on supporting and growing betting activity on British Racing in a socially responsible manner, working in partnership with industry colleagues and betting operators.Developed an account-management strategy with operators, led on the 2019 Fixture List consultation with the betting industry (greater continuity of product through to evening), led on a race times proposal (to promote a more even spread of product, albeit there are confines) for Q2 2019 and led on a £900k central funding proposal to accelerate the rollout of GPS-tracking across Britain's 59 racecourses before 2022.Three existing fixtures in May/June 2019 started at 12pm as part of the Lunchtime Racing Trial. In July 2019, the Levy Board announced the £900k of central funding to support the ambition of live sectional timing and tracking data at every British fixture by the end of 2021. Show less
