  Part of a team responsible for the deprecation and replacement of an ad hoc PHP code-base with a modern and maintainable in-house MVC architecture solution, backed by a fully featured REST API used both internally and by external clients.I was tasked with writing and improving our MySQL server query plans, API library creation and website integration (in OO PHP), HTML/CSS and JavaScript work (including pages designed for mobile devices) and was responsible for almost the entirety of the Apache Cassandra wrapping subsystem, bringing both databases together under one API to provide seamless data access and storage.I took on a number of smaller tasks creating in-house web and CLI tools to support business needs and actively engaged with server specification and management to reduce server maintenance costs and promote strong up-time of our service.
