My duties include teaching Mathematics and Science to band 1 and 2 learners in the 9-12 phase with a Montessori approach. I also coach rugby and athletics and have taken lead of the Health and Safety team of the Primary and College schools on the campus. I am also focusing on guiding the band 3s into taking charge of our recycling project. I was originally only assigned as the grade 5,6 and 7 educator for English and History as well as the head of sports. I quickly rose to head of marketing after taking initiative and finding sponsors for the school and creating a website from scratch which can be used for marketing and distributing information. I had an Instagram account created for the school and am currently managing the social media activity of the school. I also set up Wi-Fi printing for the first time in the school’s history and am in charge of educating the tech team as well as fixing printers and ordering ink and paper. Show less

As the educator to a class of sixty, I had to adapt to the needs and circumstances of the learners in order to provide them with a quality learning experience. During my time at Central Park Primary, I helped to develop a new disciplinary system that the school adopted and is in the process of putting into action. I keep myself open to all school events and offer my aid where I can be of use. My responsibilities included helping the learner in the subject they were struggling in through explanation and activities. After every session, a report would be given to the parents of the learner in order to discuss the learner's progress.
