  Downtown Book & Sound is a new and used book, music and movie store located inside the historic IOOF Building in Downtown Salinas. This edifice was lovingly restored in 2018 and the owner helped to facilitate the bookstore concept to become a reality. Trish Triumpho Sullivan created the feel of the space utilizing recycled bookshelves, counters and books, plus vintage neon and photographs to highlight the original brick walls and wood floors. The bookshop opened its doors in March of 2019 and due to Triumpho Sullivan's innovative online sales platforms survived and thrived during the pandemic and year-long Main Street construction.
