    • SNAP Program Coordinator
      • May 2014 - May 2015

In conjunction with a number of safety net programs at Jewish Family Service (JFS), the SNAP coordinator acts as liaison between families qualifying for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and other government supplemental programs and the very complicated application system. The coordinator visits with qualifying families in the community, helping them to collect required documents and to submit applications for these services. My job also required that I navigate the complicated world of grant compliance, offering assistance to those who qualifies. Some case management was required for this position.JFS, a non-profit organization, also runs a weekly pantry, a Family Safety Net program (rental assistance, employment support, etc.), and many other programs to support those in need.
