  It's been 30 years now since I have joined the AIr Nova, now Jazz Aviation LP team. I have worked in multiple departments since 1989, such as Finance, Payroll, Maintenance, Crew Planning, Supply Management and currently Contracts and Real Estate since 2005.In the role of Contracts Manager, I am responsible for issuing Request for Proposal (RFP's), evaluating the bids utilizing predefined weighting scoring formulas. After selecting the successful vendor I then negotiate and ultimately execute the contract. The negotiation phase consists of with brainstorming and discussing contract clauses with tax, insurance and legal representatives.

  During my time at Jazz I have had the opportunity to learn and conquer many positions over time until ultimately finding my niche. The following positions and a brief descriptions will provide additional background;Finance (1989) - Accounts Payable - matching invoicing and paying vendors Revenue Accounting (1989) - Physically pricing passenger tickets determining what was owed to Air Nova (at the time) by other code-share airlines. Payroll (1998) - Ran orientation classes, assisted new hires in completing all payroll documentation, assisted with all premiums, RRSP contributions etc.Supply Management - (2000) Purchased aircraft parts and non aircraft related suppliesMaintenance Special Projects - (2001) I had been the coordinator to the Maintenance Special Projects Manager.Crew Planning - (2002) Arranging Flight Attendant and Pilot Training in monthly advanced schedules. Contracts Manager (2002 - current) - Issuing RFP's and negotiating contracts along with supervising Jazz's Corporate Buyer. Working closely with tax, insurance and legal representatives in order to execute legally approved contracts. The objective our this department is to contribute savings to our bottom line when purchasing any goods or service for Jazz.
