I managed Trina while she was a Technical Product Manager Intern at Alexa AI, where she owned the product strategy for a tool used to rapidly patch user experience issues. This tool is expected to launch in Fall 2023. Trina was able to quickly grasp a complex, fast-evolving problem space (involving Generative AI / LLMs) to make meaningful contributions to the team. One of Trina’s key strength is her ability to rapidly establish positive stakeholder relationships, whether with software developers, applied scientists, product managers, or technical project managers. She built trust by asking thoughtful questions, understanding the landscape of technical constraints, and incorporating feedback to her product ideas. With this, she set realistic but aspirational goals for the product; prioritized product features to ensure scalability; and outlined a metrics monitoring strategy to ensure that the team could continue to improve the product beyond her time at Amazon.
