In 2017, I was fortunate to work with Trevyn on coordinating a large tech business' earthquake drill and internal outreach event, which also encompassed external media activities, as a part of International ShakeOut Day (ShakeOut is a worldwide earthquake safety movement). Trevyn embodies the diverse skillset today's business development and communications professionals need, from digital to offline. As we coordinate ShakeOut worldwide at my center, it was reassuring to have someone as en pointe and action-based as Trevyn. He methodically and strategically worked to make sure this event was seamless. Throughout our planning calls and beyond execution, I could always count on him to know the answers we needed and take care of the solutions we depended on, from where a simple electrical outlet may be to how we liase and grow this activity with our partners and provide accurate, meaningful reporting on its impacts. Thinking about his own career,, Trevyn's dedication to his family business (Ready America / QuakeHold) is always apparent, and we always appreciate how fantastic of a partner they are to us. They aren't just running a business; they're helping to prepare individuals, families, and workplaces all around the world from the inevitable earthquakes in their future, with a persistent smile and sense of optimism, and solutions that are attainable and scalable. Trevyn and I have seen each other mature and improve in our work for more than 5 years, and it's refreshing to see how he has developed his mentoring of resilience for schools, healthcare facilities, and businesses. What will he do next? I am confident that if in a few years, I wrote a recommendation like this again, it would dwarf today's!
