  As Business Operations Engineer I developed custom internal tools to assist SmartThings employees in everyday tasks, using automation to assist our Customer Support, QA, and Engineering teams. Technologies: JavaScript, Python, Groovy, NodeJS, JQuery, AWS, Vagrant, Terraform, Ansible, Spinnaker, and GitLab CI Integrations: Okta, Slack, Zendesk, StatusPage.io, and Salesforce - Constructed a NodeJS web application to scale global operations and allow teams across Samsung to manage access to internal tools, enabling SmartThings to expand customer support to more countries with minimal manual configuration. - Automated a series of internal tools through the creation of a JavaScript browser extension that integrated various tools together, saving over 3,000 hours of employee time and streamlining operations performed multiple times a day by Customer Support, QA, and Engineering teams. - Assisted in the development of a Slack bot that connected multiple internal systems together, enabling employees to submit help requests and connect with available colleagues to assist them. This system prioritized request based on many contextual factors such as prioritizing live or time-sensitive customer interactions. Show less
