Transportation Lead - Community Energy & Emissions Inventory
-
Dec 2013 - Dec 2022
http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/cas/mitigation/ceei/index.html The Community Energy and Emissions Inventory is a data project by the Province of British Columbia since 2007 to provide local governments (municipalities, regional districts) in B.C. with robust sets of data describing the greenhouse gas emissions (carbon footprint) of their jurisdiction, broken out into economic sectors and emission sources. My job as the Transportation Sector Lead involves ensuring methodological consistency between reporting year data sets, and working with stakeholders and partners to ensure useful data on transportation GHG emissions and related performance indicators are made available and accessible to practitioners, so that these reports can help to inform the development, implementation and evaluation of local green initiatives to reduce carbon intensity of local transportation systems and ultimately mitigate the local contributions to global warming and climate change.
