  Was brought on to re-launch the building after the Valspar acquisition had taken place with the general focus of putting safety at the forefront, balancing the budget, securing an engaged staff and crafting all SOPs and audits for the site.Reduced OT hours by 38% by coordinating start times, working with LTL carrier scheduled loads and putting in place a 1 day lead time for the DC. Current cost savings overall total over $210,000 YTD.Turned over 78% of the staff within the first four months of starting with the company. This has resulted in a 100% FT associate DC.Re-slotted the entire DC and removed/liquidated over 13 trailer loads of distressed inventory in the process while securing a 3PL to handle slow-moving finished goods.Decreased mis-shipments by 46% through the introduction of a product tracking system for finished goods coming from the manufacturing plant to the DC, putting in place a series of two double checks for BOLs and increased accountability for under-performers. This has resulted in a shipping success rate of 99.996% accuracy.Increased pick rates by over 16% by writing all new SOPs an instituting a dedicated trainer for each process.Created a culture of safety by leading the Valspar DC network plan safety plan for 2017, increased employee safety participation 80% by creating a new auditing system and rewarding safe behavior.Traveled to other Valspar sites in the network that were struggling to make rate/ reach customer expectations and evaluated the performance plus helped to re-launch the sites.
