This project examined global efforts, previous solutions, and local resources to create an entrepreneurial program for local artists. As part of an effort in Kingston workforce management, this program will up-skill artists to flourish in a world following the COVID19 pandemic. The PhD Community Initiative (PhD-CI) is a program at Queen’s University which pairs local organizations with qualified interdisciplinary teams of Queen’s PhD students to solve community problems. For 2020-21, the PHD-CI partnered exclusively with the City of Kingston to assess and implement solutions to challenges introduced by the COVD19 global pandemic.
