I was assigned to the Division of Veterinary Medicine and was in charge of the Small Animal Department. I oversaw the care and use of all the rodents, lagomorphs, ferrets, and any other small animal that was housed there. I conducted monthly workshops on the proper handling techniques of rodents. I was then transferred to the Division of Pathology, where I was put in charge of the Necropsy Department. I was in charge of conducting hundreds of necropsies and prepped several hundred tissue trimmings. I maintained a lean six sigma cataloging system and archived thousands of old samples. Show less
