Bio
Julia Goetten
I had the privilege of working with Travis while we were both studying in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Travis and I collaborated on many projects and his team player mentality and proactive work ethic always proved valuable. He consistently approached his work with a youth development lens and worked to engage youth in the most meaningful ways. Travis' innate ability to build and maintain strong relationships and develop connections with people from all over the world, particularly with young people, is one of his strongest assets. Travis is a true champion for youth and I highly recommend him for any project or position that includes public speaking, team building, coaching or other youth engagement activities.

Travis is a thoughtful, disciplined, and energetic professional. During my time as his supervisor, I watched him grow into a strong advocate for diverse representation in the Peace Corps. He developed strategies and executed plans across several states, with numerous university partners, and in under-represented communities. Travis was always willing to go above and beyond is primary responsibilities to collaborate with colleagues, fill in as needed, and listen with purpose to ensure he was supporting his peers and learning from them. I enthusiastically recommend Travis to any position, especially those that involve public speaking, working with diverse audiences, and engaging with a team. In fact, I still wish he was on my team.
