  Managed an ad-hoc team of researchers developing new software infrastructure for a humanoid robot. Developed real-time force control software for a flexible gripper. Developed a detailed model of efficiency of electric actuators for thermal analysis and optimal component selection. Advised engineers and researchers in troubleshooting problems and making technology decisions.

• Senior Technician (Senior Engineer)

  • May 2010 - May 2012

  Systems design of robust, low-cost, field robots for scientific & humanitarian endeavors. Highlights include troubleshooting and fixing an ARM linux bootloader, developing a suite of technology concepts (including but not limited to robots) for search and rescue disaster response, deepening my understanding of middlware for distributed robotics, and implementing the prototype for the SCORP low cost and scaleable field robot.
