Project Director, Education Blockchain Initiative The Education Blockchain Initiative, funded by the US Department of Education, seeks to explore both the opportunities and the risks of utilizing blockchain to empower learners and translate skills and educational experiences into economic opportunity. IT Program Manager Clients: University of Maryland University College (UMUC), US Coast Guard Academy, Baker College Online, Coastline Community College Sample Projects: * Led the successful implementation of the cloud-based Workday HCM, Payroll and Recruiting system across UMUC’s Stateside, Asia and Europe divisions. Serving as the Workday Customer Project Manager, Harold was responsible for the overall implementation of the Workday system at UMUC, leading a project team of over 40 resources across multiple Stateside and Overseas locations. * Managed the training and operational support implementation for the global deployment of the Desire2Learn/Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS). UMUC is the largest non-profit public online university in the U.S, and the new LMS system was successfully deployed to over 90K UMUC students, 5K faculty and 1K staff across the world. * Led the successful implementation of the Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) and Verint Workforce Management and Quality Management systems to 12 UMUC contact centers. Harold was responsible for managing a project team of over 15 resources, and led the on-time deployment of the new systems to over 200 UMUC contact center resources. * Led the UMUC Asia Division launch a face-to-face Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program that supports UMUC Asia students across 6 countries. Harold provided project management leadership in the assessment and implementation of UMUC Asia’s MBA curriculum, academic policies and student services to support the successful launch of UMUC Asia’s MBA program.
