I am currently working in a project that employs multiple collaborated UAVs to inspect large infrastructures. The UAVs are equipped with a digital camera and a laser scanner. My research is about developing algorithms to- extract planar surfaces from 3D point cloud obtained by the laser scanner- segment crack-like objects from the images of planar surfaces collected by the digital camera.
