  I have taught primarily Math and have been Head of the Mathematics department at CPC since it opened in 2001. I have taught all levels of Math from grades 7 - 12 (and also Accounting). My main area of teaching was Calculus 12 (I have also taught Advanced Functions 12 & Data Management 12) for most of my years of teaching until just recently which has been primarily grade 11 Math (both MCR3U, Functions, & MCF3M, Functions & Applications).As Head of Mathematics I oversee an excellent group of teachers. I oversee any curriculum and classroom management issues and manage report cards for the entire department.I have had many extracurricular responsibilities over the years. Many of which were sports related. I have coached Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Ultimate Frisbee for girls, boys, & co-ed teams.I also organize and manage the year end Prom for our graduates, and assist in the organization and execution of the grade 8 & 12 Graduations.In addition, I personally implemented and manage the Points System that we have for our Mentor Program (Homeroom Program) at our school. Points are awarded to the students for everything they do (sports, clubs, committees, honour roll,...) throughout the entire school year. I enter and tabulate the points for all students in the entire school. This leads to an Awards Assembly, to recognize the student's accomplishments, at the end of the school year in May which I help to organize. Show less
