  One of few women Dealer Principals in NZ, I purchased Waikato Motor Group in 2008. WMG represented the Hyundai and Peugeot vehicle franchises throughout the greater Waikato region. The business had a turnover of $20 million per annum, employed 30 full time staff, and had 100 vehicles on site at any given time. I am deeply proud of our wide reaching involvement in the community, and sponsorship of sports, business and charitable events. With an enviable customer database, WMG was a market leader in direct communications, and hosted numerous showroom events throughout each year. One significant achievement was securing a 450 vehicle lease contract with the Waikato District Health Board. Another was WMG winning the Waikato Business Excellence Awards for its category. The Awards examine company performance, leadership and planning, customer focus, innovation, people management, quality of systems, community involvement and other core business KPI’s. Growth of the Hyundai brand presented an opportunity to sell the business, and to work with the new owners to facilitate a smooth transition of Hyundai to a new and larger corporate dealership.
