  Supervise graphic artists in the art department at Apollo Design to ensure that customer's orders are processed correctly, while still meeting daily production goals. Set daily, weekly, and monthly objectives for the Art Department. Measure the Art Department's productivity on at least a weekly basis. Daily organize the flow of orders to ensure that they are processed efficiently Learn and maintain proficiency in all aspects of art setup. Project manage work throughout the department and keep process in place to ensure even workload. Oversee that all artists are productive and can complete assignments given in the time allotted. Oversee use of art staff by other departments, such as marketing. Oversee the training of all art staff to ensure they can carry out any task. Maintain communication throughout the day with sales and production departments to ensure all orders are filled in the appropriate time. Check other artist's work for mistakes on an as needed basis. Work with the Production Coordinator to approve rushes for the art department. Work in conjunction with the Human Resource department to establish manpower needs, participate in the interviewing and selection process for art department staff, communicate and enforce policies and procedures to the art department and conduct semiannual performance evaluations on art department staff. Research and develop new products. Arrange ongoing training. Generate monthly department report due to President each month. Conduct meetings within department to communicate policies and procedures.
