I taught English to at risk teens for 16 years. As English teacher I also wrote curriculum, wrote grants (up to $170,000), mentored teens, and established the following clubs: Gilda's Club, Al-Ateen, Alcove for Grieving Teens, and the Do Gooders Club. I was awarded Teacher of the Year 2000 and 2009. As a principal, I hired, trained and evaluated staff. I wrote grants, established WOW, Women of Wonder, which allowed at risk teens to attend college classes while in high school. I am comfortable with and competent at raising money, hiring staff, and starting new programs. I create a culture of collaboration and creative solutions. I am a team player with the confidence and experience to lead your school. Show less
