Managed a SUSE Linux based Novell Network to include all facets of Zenworks, Groupwise, and Novell add-ons for three schools. Implemented said network in virtual environment based on VMWare at all schools. Led, planned and implemented the conversion of said network to a Windows network to include Exchange, Lync, SCCM 2012, and Sharepoint Servers for help desk reporting, and delivery of online lessons. Developed and maintained versions of the district website on several platforms to include Expression web with Silverlight add-ins, ASP coded and DotNetNuke. Impletmented the use of thin clients to replace outdated labs via virtual desktops and remote desktops and applications for students. Currently moving VMWare virtual machines to a HyperV virtual implementation with fielding of Windows 8.1 desktops to users. Used the latest version of Sharepoint to create a learning management system using Captivate and Courselab to create SCORM compliant eLearning products. Systems Analyst and Test Coordinator Responsible for aiding in the development of a network management study of the System Integration Management Activity. This study looked at the Activitys network management policies, procedures, structures and maintenance, the team then provided a written document covering our findings. Developed a training course covering the principles of network management. Acted as a testing coordinator for the Air Mobility Command for the Information Repository Management System to test the Repositorys interface with AFIRDS naming standardization database. A document was then prepared to consolidate and report the findings of the series of tests. As a result of this work, the team was requested to work with Manager Software Products, Inc. to implement the Information Repository Management System at the Central Database Center of the Department of State in Fairfax, VA. This position required doing client interface and training, the IRMS repository had to be redefined and the positions supporting the database had to be redefined and staffed. Training then for these persons was required and the initial populating of the repository through case tools was required. One of the initial training developers to begin work on the Applique project with TRW Land Systems. The Applique computer and communications network was developed as the training was developed, from the ground up, over two years. Training programs were developed in the Train the Trainer format for different levels of the U.S. Army. Was personally responsible for the development of the Command and Staff Training program, the Signal NCO and Officer Course, and aided in the General Applique Operators Course. For versions 2 and 3 of the system, now called Forward Battle Command Brigade and Below, I was still responsible for the Command and Staff course and the Signal NCO and Office Course. Served as a Training Company Commander for 4 consecutive years. Was responsible for the training and maintenance of the cadre for an armored one station unit training company and then a basic training company. The requirements were for the maintenance of Drill Sergeants training and when required Tank Instructor training at the highest levels possible. During this time the company ran and provided all the instructors for the 3rd Brigade Drill Sergeant school. As the Battalion Logistics Officer was responsible for all the companies of the Battalion logistically and the Battalions movement to and from training sites and duty stations. Responsible for the maintenance and the function of a full dining facility to include the purchase, preparation and serving for a population of up to 3,000. As the unit was redesignated and then closed was responsible for the turning in of all material, equipment and facilities. Served in a line field artillery battalion in West Germany filling various positions within the battalion structure. 3. These positions were company fire support officer, brigade fire support officer, battalion operations staff office. All positions required the application of mathematical gunnery solutions to various terrain and tactical situations. 4. Problem solving principles were used to plan solutions to tactical, logistical and strategic situations and time situations. 5. Training strategies were applied in the case of teaching fire support solutions at the platoon, company, battalion and brigade units. Show less
