Nyeusi was seasonal brand that specialising in premium activewear. Nyeusi was sold 100% online. The marketing plan for Nyeusi was to use Social Media ads at the top of the funnel and then go heavy on email in the middle and bottom. We produced multiple video and image based ads that were A/B tested across multi channels and audiences. The objective of these ads were to acquire an email address. Email addresses served to validate our idea (as a marker of interest - people signed up to have access to the store on launch). To move customers from this point of interest to purchase, we used email marketing and retargeting ads that varied based on activity (time spent on page, number of emails opened etc). The campaign was extremely successful. We generated emails at an average CAC of £0.20 and our conversion rate on emails with a purchase CTA was around 25%. We had a 5* review record, an email list of several thousand and a Facebook pixel that done a great job at filling the top of our funnel with customers similar to our existing purchasers. The Zero to 100 Show is a podcast sharing success tactics for people without privilege. Today my wife and I are successful business owners who have a 6 figure online business that gives us the time and money freedom to travel the world. But when decided to pursue this dream 5 years ago, we started without the privilege of a family or network who could guide us down that new path or invest in us in our journey. This is the same for so many people like us... Our journey has been some success, more failure but the ultimate education. With our podcast we want to share the success tactics we've learned and developed - as well of those of other people - to support and guide other people from communities like ours in achieving their goals too! All Chip In was a fintech startup that provided US College Students with a means of generating income for college fees and other education related items. On the flip side, it enabled givers (often wealthy individuals) a tax-efficient way to give back and stay updated as to the impact they had. All Chip In was accepted into a San Francisco accelerator and secured deals with SF based universities for campus based trials and support. Whilst we received a lot of support and a great amount of excitement from US students (the college fee thing is a huge problem out there), we did come up against some really difficult issues not least when it came to obtaining long term visas to stay out in the US! We did eventually decide to leave the startup behind but the value of that experience, the people we met and everything we learned make it one of those businesses its hard to think of as a fail!
