I've found Torsten to be consistently pleasant and professional, tackling all assignments with dedication and a smile. Besides being a joy to work with, Torsten is a take-charge person who is able to work in a team as well as handling tasks effectively on his own. He has successfully developed many high-end web applications for our company that have resulted in increased popularity of our products. He has also played a lead role in developing and designing our two most technological products: Brandspotter and GoScale CMS. He started as a Python and Javascript developer and quickly became our Senior developer working on more important and complex tasks and managing other developers involved in his projects. Additionally to our own products he worked on projects of our most picky customers like Google, Samsung, Cadburry Picnic and others. As a developer he participated in creation of GoScaleCMS (http://goscalecms.com), and in endless web-projects we created for various clients. During next year I was pleased to watch Tosten's progress not only as a developer, but progress in his approach to process and organisation. He found brilliant balance between flexibility and following procedures, between giving fast response to short requests - and focusing on oorderliness and punctuality. On May 2010 Torsten was promoted to Senior Developer and became a team leader of our software programmers working on BrandSpotter - the biggest development project we at Sterno.Ru ever have been working on. Torsten has been participating in building a clear and effective system of project management and code management for this project. And his personal achievement is that we now can rely on resource/time estimations for new tasks and features. I cannot express how happy I am about this. And equally important that Torsten is personally reliable as a team member. I appreciate a lot when he overworks to meet deadlines, to help to fix his colleagues errors, or to make sudden and urgent changes in the system - the start-up situation that we have from time to time. He meets these terrible moments with calmness, keeps being deadly effective, precise and friendly. I'll try to open a new office in any place where Torsten will decide to move in, just to keep working with him!
