Hokodo is a rapidly growing B2B BNPL platform; I joined post-seed with 20 employees, by the time I left we had raised Series A & B funding and grown to 90+ employees. My job involved analysing external data sources, specifying data requirements and integrating APIs in production. I used Django’s REST Framework Serializers, in production, to extract data from API responses, validate and transform it so that it could be loaded into the PostgreSQL database. I produced probability of default credit models using logistic regression and tree-based models and presented these to external stakeholders for approval. Once approved, I then re-implemented and deployed these models in production. I designed and led the development of a generalised data cleaning pipeline, using pandas for data set handling and manipulation, and using Luigi and then DVC for structuring the pipeline. My team was instrumental in Hokodo's geographical expansion, as we developed new credit models for each country that we launched. I lead the development and production deployment of our Spanish models. I regularly used Python (inc. Django, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Plotly, Pytest), PostgreSQL, Git & continuous integration pipelines; I also regularly collaborated with my team and offered, and appreciated, detailed reviews and feedback. I worked closely with an Indian telehealth start-up, “CallMyMedic”, which aims to revolutionise preventative healthcare using big data analytics. In light of the current global-pandemic, their priority is to get virtual consultations to every Indian household. I completed the full-stack development of their Android Application (using a Firebase backend) which will help connect patients with doctors and provide a scalable platform for these virtual consultations. Being a part of such a new business proved to be very exciting as they are hoping to secure funding within the next few months. Show less
