Torie was one of the first people I met after joining Farm Credit, and in her role as Marketing & PR Specialist, was a valued member of the Farm Credit team. Her value as an employee comes from her unique combination of professional dedication, and vivacious personality. Torie is always a pleasure to be around and to work with, as she both lifts the mood in any room, and provides a motivated, can-do attitude to whatever she works on.

I worked with Torie on several marketing projects during my tenure at Farm Credit. She effectively led our monthly marketing meetings to accomplish strategic goals. Her great writing style immediately boosted the readership of our quarterly lifestyle magazine with our members.

As marketing manager of JMB North America, I oversaw all start-up marketing, advertising and communications for the company, while further informing of the Ag technology solutions we provided through distribution to the U.S. market. In 2016, my full-time job with OI Analytical/Xylem forced this role to be on more of a “as needed” basis due to my workload. I assisted Lely North America in all areas of promoting Lely's brand and products in efforts to help dairy farmers and other agriculturalists maximize production and quality of life through innovative technology. Through working with independent Lely Centers (dealers) in the United States and Canada, I was able to market and brand Lely on a local level, further promoting sales in those areas. Specialty areas during my career with Lely included: content creation (ads, magazine articles, press releases, news letters, etc.), creative concepts (ads, brochures, flyers, calendars, etc.), photography, internal and external communications, event planning and much more. Project management and marketing of a startup artisan cheese creamery from Alliance Grazing Group's dairies' grass-based milk. In this role, I also contributed to marketing projects relating directly to Alliance Dairies and Alliance Grazing Group, such as: monthly employee newsletters, website maintenance, brochure creation, milking techniques video, etc. Project management and marketing of a startup artisan cheese creamery from Alliance Grazing Group's dairies' grass-based milk. A summer internship program in 2006 with Farm Credit of North Florida led to my first marketing career the following summer. As the only person in the marketing department, my role demanded me to be a "jack of all trades," which allowed me to become well rounded and gain firsthand experience in the marketing and communications arena. I managed everything from advertising campaigns, to social media, to internal and external communications (including a quarterly member magazine), and beyond. This career unleashed my creativity and taught me the power of effective communication. Show less
