I conduct usability, concept, and game-play testing research on games in development, providing usability and engagement analysis and recommendations for improvement. I also design and conduct competitor game analysis to better understand the leading games in different genres. Once games are nearly fully developed I conduct focus groups and marketing research to help product managers determine the best ways to title and position a game for its release. "The Big Sofa project for Insight Exchange travels the UK gathering specialist content, conversations with members of the public, which are showcased on our cutting edge digital platform, a hugely flexible web tool that revolutionises how video can be accessed, categorised and viewed. The unique platform allows companies to see real-life conversations with everyday people. The Conversationalists who are trained in talking to people, getting them to open up using The Big Sofa methodology work alongside a film crew to collect data for the research web tool. Conversationalists and film crew work as a team to recruit and interview people at shopping centres, markets, high streets, music festivals, pubs, village fetes, football clubs, pubs and similar types of public spaces." - I worked with a small team to film conversations about research topics with members of the public. The transcribed data is uploaded to our web application for our clients to keyword search public opinions and experiences. We also took on bespoke projects for corporate clients interested in using our approach for their particular research needs. My role focused on participant recruitment, data collection and participant interaction, with workshopping involvement in data analysis for actionable insights and creation of client deliverables.
