  My position as a medical scribe at wellnow urgent care requires me to carefully listen to the patient-provider interview and create the patients History of present illness (HPI) from that interview, effectively highlighting chief complaint, time of onset, associated symptoms, denied symptoms, PMH, and any other related information shared by the pt pertaining to their current reason of visit. I also observe the physical exam performed by either the NP or PA, allowing me to document exam normality's, and abnormalities. If a procedure is needed, I will fill out the appropriate corresponding procedure note. Similarly, if a patient is being transferred to the hospital, it is my job to fill out a transfer form to the correct hospital of choice, and print it out for the provider to sign, along with the patient. There are a few more responsibilities in addition to the main ones listed above, including ordering covid test to help out the other employees, cleaning rooms, checking in on patients with significant wait times and getting them a snack or drink as requested, chaperoning/preparing swabs during GU exams, helping with daily cleaning responsibilities, and overall, keeping in constant communication with my co-workers, allowing us to provide the best care for the patients as possible Show less
