  I entered Greenstat at the time when it was just going from being an idea to being a project. During my first year or so, I was tasked with developing a tool we named ZEVision (Zero Emission Vision). ZEVision was a simple tool to visualize energy production, distribution and consumption mainly of and for businesses, municipalities, nationally and for various value chains to showcase improvement potentials on the way to a zero emission society/business. Over time, we created the subsidiaries Greenstat Hydrogen (Hydrogen producer) and Greensight (Consultancy), with local energy still being developed. Aiming to be a hydrogen producer, Greenstat Hydrogen had a long road to go as the market for hydrogen at the time was negligible. The main tasks to be done here were laying the groundwork for future production, securing future market shares, seeking early project funding, lobbying for long term governmental strategies and ambitions etc. The work here was slow due to high costs of hydrogen technology, an unprepared governmental support scheme system, hydrogen solutions being few or unavailable and potential hydrogen consumers generally unwilling to be the first movers. Through Greensight we were laying the groundwork for green technologies in general, but with a special focus on hydrogen. We made analyses and reports for businesses, municipalities, counties and organizations on energy flows, economics of value chains, economic and technical viability of hydrogen infrastructure networks, economics of hydrogen refueling stations. We held workshops with hydrogen actors to develop strategies for implementation of hydrogen solutions and courses with municipalities, businesses etc to increase awareness of hydrogen solutions.
