As part of my degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering there was a requirement to undertake college placement. I was fortunate enough to work with EDC (engineering design consultants) who are the first dedicated MEP consultancy in Ireland and in the UK certified to level 2 BIM delivery. During my role as a BIM Co-ordinator I worked on projects in the following sectors industrial, commercial, health care. EDC are a leading engineering company specializing in electrical and mechanical engineering services for a large range of clients in a variety of sectors including pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial and residential. EDC was established in 2003 and thanks to their quality-driven approach to engineering and early-adopter ethos with new technology, they have grown during a period when most companies in this sector have struggled.
