As Chairman of PPC and chair of the association's marketing committee, it was an honor to work with Tony for a number of years. He was energetic, consistently available for consultation, and was a consummate professional. But what I appreciated most in my capacity as marketing director and committee liaison was his wealth of ideas for growing the association and promoting the industry. Tony has since moved on, yet his legacy of industry growth and promotion is very much alive and well at PPC. In fact, I recently had the opportunity to chat with some of his staff from CardPak at a conference and the first thing they mentioned was how much his leadership and ideas were missed. That is quite a testament to the type of leader Tony is--one who inspires and enriches the lives of those around him to such an extent that his absence leaves a visceral hole for years afterwards.

I've worked with Tony for 5 years while he was the President and COO of CardPak, Inc. Over that period, I was a part of the creative team that helped Tony transform CardPak into a multi-million dollar leader in the Carded Packaging Industry. He definitely had the vision of where he wanted the company to head, and took active steps in developing CardPak's EcoLogical culture, new national and international corporate image, the ongoing development and marketing of new product innovations, growing existing product lines, and demonstrating leadership as CardPak received multiple awards and recognition from top industry membership organizations. I was proud to be a part of CardPak's tremendous growth process, and Tony was carrying the torch each step of the way.
