Event Coordinator/Marketing
-
Nov 2012 - Sep 2014
As Event Coordinator it is my responsibility to plan, prepare and execute events held at Chicagoland Skydiving Center (CSC), as well as events held at The Flight Deck Bar & Grill, located on-site at CSC. Chicagoland Skydiving Center hosts 4 large events, and around 6 smaller events. For the Flight Deck Bar & Grill It is my responsibility to research and book live music and entertainment. As event coordinator I am in charge of booking, coordinating, and managing banquets, business meetings, private events/parties, receptions and off-site caterings. I created and currently run multiple programs including but not limited to The Flight Deck Volleyball Leagues, Thinkin' & Drinkin' (weekly team trivia) and a Beer Pong League, with more events to come. I create, coordinate and manage special events hosted by The Flight Deck such as our Halloween Party, Breakfast with Santa and New Year's Eve Celebration. In Marketing for CSC and The Flight Deck, I manage the CSC Street Team, which is our promotional team that is sent out to do outside marketing. I set up skydiving demonstration jumps where PRO rated skydivers parachute into events such as football games, festivals, and other various events. I am admin for the Flight Deck website and Facebook pages. I created and run an on-site advertising program where outside companies display their ads to the guests at our facility. I also create all of the graphic work for promotional fliers and other advertisements. Show less

May 2008 - Aug 2010
As Video Editor, I worked in the Multimedia Media department where I took raw footage and created personalized and edited videos with music, still photos, and visual effects for customers who purchased videos and pictures. As Tandem Orientation Teacher, it was my role to teach first time skydivers about what they were going to be experiencing on their first jump. In the orientation classes I would use this time to sell Video and Picture packages. In this role I would also act as liaison to our guests answering any questions and keeping them informed with any updates pertaining to their experience with our company. Show less
