My role as ICT & Facilities Manager is challenging and rewarding, supporting an enthusiastic team striving to improve Australia’s plant biosecurity systems. My current and completed projects include the planning and management of; - uplifting PHA's Essential 8 standing from a maturity ranking below 1 to +3 - development of base ISM policies and procedure to uplift PHA's Cybersecurity resilience - migrating PHA core business services to Microsoft Azure Cloud services, embracing Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft EndPoint (Intune) services - AUSPestCheck, a National cloud based plant and animal surveillance monitoring & reporting tool linking industry, jurisdictions and the Federal Government. - Biosecurity Portal, (based on Microsoft SharePoint technologies) providing plant health professionals across government, industry and the community with a platform to readily access information in areas such as surveillance, diagnostics, training, technical information, tools, national policies and strategies, and legislation. My day to day tasks incorporate; - Support for 40+ staff's ICT requirements from procurement, deployment and maintenance - Monitor and mitigate security alerts from reporting dashboards - Facilities Management (Security/Maintenance/Contractors) - Website service management for >12 sites including administering LAMP based hosting platform incorporating MySQL and WordPress. - Management of PHA Telecommunications services incorporating FttN fixed line telephony service and PABX, Fibre Ethernet internet service and our mobile fleet. - Management of PHAs IT infrastructure consisting of; VMware ESX virtualised servers (Microsoft Server 20012R2/2016, SharePoint 2010/2013, SQL 2012).
