Tonnie’s ability to juggle multiple assignments was unlike any I’ve seen before and made a dramatic difference in the productivity of the team. Epic is a leader in software development for healthcare systems, whose software improves patient care and reduces costs. It's is a US-based company that has various offices worldwide, including one in the Netherlands. Here, I performed a wide variety of tasks, including: 1) Training Coordination. This includes scheduling and coordinating customer training, scheduling classes and exams, managing communication with customers, trainees and trainers, and ongoing quality assurance. 2) Bookkeeping/Accounting. Within a small team I'm in charge of all accounts payable/receivable, invoicing customers, maintaining accounting related reporting/revenue/invoice tracking files, end-of-month and end-of-year closing, and other ad-hoc accounting related tasks. 3) HR. I make travel, training and administrative arrangements for Dutch new hires & knowledge migrants that work at our headquarters and are moving to the Netherlands. I also make arrangements for departing employees and manage work anniversaries and contract renewals. 4) General Admin. This includes maintaining the company blog, logging and tracking employee time, creating (staff meeting) presentations, managing inventory and equipment, backing up the front desk, and many ad-hoc tasks. Past activities at Epic: 1) Recruitment. This included reviewing resumes, administering tests, scheduling interview rounds, hosting applicants, interviewing candidates both by phone and in person, maintaining job postings on various websites and contact with third parties. 2) Design team. I volunteered twice to decorate a floor in our office building. This included coming up with a theme and design, contacting vendors/handymen, coordinating purchases and performing hands-on tasks like creating paintings, putting up decorative items and more. 3) 2-week New Hire training at Epic's Headquarters in the USA, to obtain knowledge of the software, company culture, meet US-based people I'd be working with, and more. Band op Spanning is a Dutch foundation that is looking to save the environment by making sure everybody has the right tire pressure. I started out as a general employee, travelling to customers to take care of their fleet of cars with a group of colleagues. Soon I was promoted to Team Captain, for which I came to the office in the morning, brought all equipment to the customer site, was in charge of the work done by colleagues during the day and of returning all equipment and conserving the data obtained at night. During my time at Band of Spanning I also contributed to an episode of an informative TV show called 'Wiskunde voor de sectoren', for which I was asked by my boss to explain my job and the importance of maintaining the right tire pressure on TV. Called in some countries the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, the award is a journey of personal discovery and adventure for young people. The Award is comprised of three levels and four sections: bronze, silver and gold and service, skills, physical recreation, and adventurous journey that challenge the participants to go above and beyond, look outside the box and develop new skills. I've obtained all three levels of the Award when I was in high school: Bronze: I did voluntary work at the home for lost animals, I took courses in drawing and painting, I did yoga and went on an adventurous journey at "de Utrecht", the Netherlands. Silver: I did voluntary work at the shop of Terre des Hommes, I took course in painting, I worked out at gym and went on an adventurous journey at the Ardennes, Belgium. Gold: I did voluntary work at the Amphia hospital in Breda, I took courses in painting and jewelry making, I worked out at a gym and took dance classes and I went on an adventurous journey at the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland.
