Dec 2013 - Present
Whilst working with this private care company I was involved in delivering person centred services to people of all ages, from children to elderly people whilst maintaining the core principles of care, dignity, safety, choice, privacy, realising potential and equality & diversity. I have specialised in enhanced care packages for individuals with complex care needs, but have also enjoyed taking care of the little things in life like shopping, housework and socialising with clients to support them in their day to day activities. I believe I have grown as an individual as I have more knowledge and experience within the care sector as well as having the opportunity to develop my skills as I have completed several training courses provided by Ailsa’s partner company, Optima Care

My role within this workplace was to deliver a high quality standard of service to customers by delivering fantastic products and outstanding restaurant cleanliness and also by accurately handling cash and using the till system. I believe that this experience boosted my self-confidence and also helped me further develop my communication skills as well as giving me the opportunity to work from my own initiative. I thoroughly enjoyed working as part of this team as I received the opportunity to work with a diverse client group although I do believe that I must continue my work in care as I feel that is a profession more suited to my personality.
