In 2016, there were 28 events, in 2019 the number of events had grown to 110 • event grant funding increased from $1.2m to over $6.0m in under three years, including the establishment of governance and reporting structure • secured $5.5m in funding to support new initiatives and events • initiated and established event evaluation framework and research across all Territory events • increased interstate visitation for key events by 25% through focused marketing strategies and tactical campaigns • established event development strategy, as well as the marketing strategy and event portfolio communications plans • strong community engagement, including retail association and tourism operators advocacy, as well as ensuring opportunities for community participation Show less
