Additionally, I created and hosted a mindfulness psycho-educational and experiential workshop for staff and students to attend. The aim of the workshop series was to gain understanding on the different mindfulness practices, the benefits of mindfulness, and to provide a place where these skills can be practised. A second psycho-educational workshop that I created and facilitated focused on identifying three different types of communication (passive, aggressive, assertive) and the accompanying body language. The aim of the workshop was to gain insight into identifying how different individuals communicate and how their values impact their communication style. Show less

As a Student Registered Counsellor, my role was to provide the children with additional psychosocial support and a safe space to unpack their feelings, behaviours and attitudes, in an attempt to address and improve upon negative feelings and behaviour.
