Working for a successful office furniture manufacturer I work very closer with our commercial director in ensuring we at the forefront of office design. There's various job roles that fit within my current position; one of many job roles is the production of 2D office layouts. This usually begins by liaising with the client first hand to build a portfolio, this starts with the relatable room plans or onsite dimensions. From this we will discuss the furniture needed to suit the needs of the users; there will be many aspects that will be covered in designing the layout, we will measure the number of people present in the office and what their needs are personally. Finally we will examine the types of furniture; this will lead onto more specific styles available to the client. Once I have gathered the information I need, I'll start on preliminary plans which then lead to 3D renders being produced to aid in the visualisation of the design. Due to my wide array of responsibilities I've been tasked with, my ability to multitask and control measures has grown exponentially.
