Bio
Andy Olloff
Tommy was colleague of mine while we both worked at Forge Graphic Works. Some of his great strengths were: his attention to detail, and his organizational skills. The company would produce some creative and interesting displays, and given Tommy's knowledge, he would be able to provide feedback on the best way/material to produce on. If something seemed off, Tommy would identify the issue, and bring it up to the person running the job. The projects that we were working on had many moving pieces, but when I had a question about a specific piece, Tommy always could provide an update (if not immediately, he would follow up). Thousands of pieces went through is department, he stayed organized and streamlined the processes to create an efficient workflow to hit our key milestone dates.

I worked with Tommy at Lensbaby, and while he did not report to me directly, we were part of a very small team and I managed him on marketing-focused projects. Tommy brought boundless energy, a willingness to dive in, and intense curiosity and creativity to all tasks. He kept up on the latest marketing trends and was always brimming with new ideas and ways to promote our brand. He eagerly took on additional roles well outside of the scope of what he was hired for, with enthusiasm, and executed strongly - never afraid to ask questions to make sure he understood the goals of the project. Tommy is the creative swiss army knife that most companies wish they had.

Lensbaby is a leading manufacturer of creative effects camera lenses and accessories for DSLR and mirror-less camera systems. I was responsible for managing all global retail and distributor accounts, including Sales rep support. Created and distributed all B2B communications about product line changes and promotional offerings. Gathered, created, and scheduled digital assets for social media marketing campaigns. Responsible for customer relations for purchases and brand education. • Revamped Lensbaby’s Instagram strategy and content to grow brand awareness and engagement, garnering a Blue Check certified account status and initiating actual sales derived from this platform. • Worked with North American retail accounts to develop educational programs to increase brand awareness. • Grew a key retail account a critical 11% in a year where overall industry sales in the lens and accessory category were down 23% from the previous fiscal year. Cutting Department Lead
-
May 2014 - Oct 2018
Forge Graphics Works is a group of experts specializing in conceiving, creating, and installing custom retail display executions and experiential marketing programs for industry leading consumer goods businesses. While there, I developed S.O.P.’s for interdepartmental structure and efficient work flow in concert with improving deadlines and managing the needs of other departments. Worked hand in hand with the engineering department to develop working prototypes of custom fixture designs. Responsible for the production of the majority of assets in high profile projects. Some Achievements: • Sought-out resources and proactively taught myself how to use complex equipment and production techniques. • Promoted within first six months to department lead overseeing and directing the workload of a six-person department. • Instituted an inventory management system to reuse scrap material, saving the company upwards of $5,000 per month.
