I served as an Environmental Scientist, Inventory and Equipment Manager, and Project Manager at Tetra Tech in Kansas City, Missouri. For five and a half years, I conducted numerous environmental surveys including but not limited to soil, groundwater, waste water, drinking water, asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, radon, and air monitoring. I supported the Environmental Protection Agency in Region 7 (Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri) by ensuring that emergency response equipment and supplies are maintained and readily available. I also provided 24-hour on-call emergency response service and expertise. In addition, I mentored other members of my team in proper sampling methods and provided them with any information they need to be successful in their roles. I wrote Standard Operating Procedures for the roles I had as well as for standards the company used to ensure that the sampling methodology stayed consistent across the country and to give the employees and clients the tools they need to succeed.
