My role at ASDA was undertaken in tandem with my studies at the University of Liverpool, developing my ability to manage multiple responsibilities and giving me key experience in a customer facing role. My time at ASDA coincided with the beginning and peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and as a key worker, I succeeded in providing excellent customer service in a very uncertain and turbulent environment. Responsibilities include: • Independent organisation of shelves and stockroom. • Providing excellent customer service and handling customer enquiries on the shop floor. • Co-ordinating with other colleagues in the organisation and application of customer service strategies. • Rapidly and effectively collating groceries within the home shopping team.

Following a successful work experience placement organised by De La Salle School, I asked to continue, as a paid employee, for the summer, autumn and Christmas holidays. I have been invited back on various occasions working on an ad hoc basis, the most recent being early 2019. Responsibilities include: • Organisation of manual filing systems • Customer service via online and telephone • Note taking, photocopying and general administrative duties. • Reconciliation of stock • Re-organisation of stock room
