Primary duties include creating high quality digital maps and web maps for our staff, clients and potential clients, as well as complex spatial analysis. I use ArcGIS/Pro daily and their suite of tools to perform complex spatial analysis on current and prospective restoration sites. Examples of the types of analysis include water rights calculations and prioritization, temperature modeling on streams using HeatSource and TTools (DEQ developed models), and empirical sediment modeling using either the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE), Idaho DEQ's Surface Irrigation Soil Loss model (SISL) and the Nutrient Tracking Tool. Additional layers such has habitat characteristics, land use and tax lots are used for internal conservation prioritization mapping. I also manage all of the organization's GIS data, field collected data, GPS units and the ESRI/ArcGIS Online account. I have recent experience displaying and analyzing data in R and creating models/Python scripts to automate GIS workflow.

Hired as a temporary, full time Remote Sensing Technician to process LiDAR points for both wide-area projects and utility projects using ArGIS, MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Wide-area projects focused on ground points, quality control and creating and using hillshades to detect irregularities in ground models. Utility project work included classifying LiDAR points of utility lines as well as using orthophotos for feature extraction.
