I perform one or a more such production, rework, or maintenance operations, such as operating a semi-automatic machine, with several controls. Sometimes I am required to perform a manual task such as assembling a fuse, inserting booster charges and detonators, screwing or bolting down components to achieve mechanical strength and attaching and soldering the detonation circuit. ● As a explosives operator I know the cycle of operations of one or a more work processes, machines, and equipment involved in powder working and conventional ammunition production, and all other performing tasks as prescribed in operating procedures to safely produce a quality product. I am familiar with the type of explosive or munitions to which I am assigned and know the difference between various explosives by their appearance, color, and texture. ● Also, I know the maximum dead load pressures that can be applied to press loaded explosives and the maximum temperatures that can be applied to cast loaded explosives and they are well versed in the appropriate safety procedure for each explosive.
