Tom is a brilliant mind, enthusiastic and always solving problems. He's full of creative ideas to bring new products to market and maximises his impact versus spend by using nuanced organic methods like community building. He's got a keen eye for product design and maintains a relentless focus on user experience. Equally he will roll his sleeves up and get stuck into operational problems without hesitation. Quick to learn and eager to test his limits, Tom's been working in startups since he was a student and always has an interesting side hustle. That hands on experience makes him much more versatile than most people early in their career. I think Tom's got great potential as an entrepreneurial business leader and I fully expect to see big things from him.

Tom is calm, thoughtful, creative and professional. I knew him throughout his undergraduate days and am now delighted to see him 'park' corporate job offers to launch his own international startup. I look froward to updates on this one and am sure that Tom will go on to great things. He is eminently trustworthy and self-disciplined; a diplomatic but proactive contributor; and has an eye for detail - which all feels like a great combination for what he is doing now.

Learnt how to build a tech startup. Product was in the nightlife, data collection, loyalty and payments space. - Built a team, product, world-class advisory board. - Pitched to angels and VCs and verbally raised our 150k round. - Secured a trial with UK's largest nightlife group. - Worked part-time in my evenings to pay for development costs. I designed & distributed some small leaflets about myself around the local villages in order to gain some extra cash in my spare time. I built up a regular clientele which gave me steady work throughout the Winter and Summer holidays. At peak, I was looking after 10+ pets in multiple villages, going door-to-door on my bike, including Cats, Guinea Pigs, Chickens, Ducks, a Tortoise, Rabbits! I also met some great people, and subsequent long-term business mentors and friends.
