I had the opportunity to work with Tom for almost 2 years at Datrium. Tom was one of my first strategic hires to help build the SE organization at Datrium in 2018, and, well, it was quite a ride right up until the VMware acquisition! Tom came over to Datrium and helped build our team to bring Datrium technology to market. Jumping in with both feet to both position the tech and also build / lead a team, hire key personnel in a very tight market, and work to bring success to Datrium. In addition to helping build and run the team, as a member of a tight management team - Tom was asked to be hands on, take on special projects, and jump in anywhere. Whether it was internal enablement, building and running programs, or working on other projects, Tom always had a positive attitude to roll up the sleeves and get things done. This is above and beyond an SE leader in some instances. For example, Tom spearheaded our "Get to Know Your Customer Program (G2KYC)" that we used to re-engage our field organization with our existing clients to make sure that they were taking advantage of the Datrium offerings they already purchased, but also to drive more pipeline potential. He worked with a team to lead this initiative and roll it out with our field, support and marketing teams. Another area where Tom really helped was with partner technical engagement. Tom helped us onboard new partners, get our gear into their lab, and become proficient in positioning Datrium. As a key part of our strategy, his engagement with the partners was key to success.
