The MDC is a Public Body set up by Agriculture Ministers and is funded by a statutory levy on all milk sold or produced off farms in Great Britain. Invoicing and Collection of levy from 29K plus farmers (5K directly). Collection of Levy monthly from 65 wholesalers who act as a 3rd party agency for MDC. Creation of on account adjustments made yearly to accounts which generates additional invoices and/or credit memos. Production of check refunds. Liaison with Rural Payments Agency in collecting Start of year quota and End of year actual production figures. In-house Database Management for custom software (£7.5m turnover). Computer Support for Microsoft Office 97 through XP/Computer Liaison on Hardware. General Functions of office personnel and Human Resources.
