Over a few months, our biggest achievements were: - Update PHP from 7.2 to 7.4 and then 8.2 - Update Symfony from version 3.x to LTS 5.4 - Dockerize the application for local development purposes - Improve CI pipeline using phpstan, code sniffer, lints and improve test coverage The experience I've gained and appreciate the most, are - Working on a high-traffic project with well setup monitoring - Working on a performance challenges including multiple cache levels (nginx, doctrine,...) - DevOps tasks to optimize CI costs, dockerize microservices into Kubernetes - Participate on system architecture design, tickets solution designs and business analysis - Pushing for clean code standards during code reviews, improving test coverage, etc. Show less

In Economia, my role was to lead team of 7 developers and together develop a system to manage the whole life cycle of print and digital media - from central point of sale all the way to distribution, complaint resolution and customer retention. The biggest challenges (and accomplishments) were: - Design the architecture of the system in cooperation with the CTO and software architect - Setup the AWS infrastructure based on ECS, RDS, SQS,.. which was managed with Terraform - Coordinate and integrate many 3rd party services (payment gateway, distribution partners, Česká pošta, Salesforce) together, most of the time asynchronously using Symfony messenger with SQS - Participation during the analysis of the legacy system data to be migrated into the new system - Optimizing zero downtime deployment for the monolithic PHP application into the ECS Show less
