Effectively managed facilities, collections, and personnel by developing library policies and procedures, introducing collections management standards, managing collection requests, streamlining access services, and establishing a more effective study and teaching environment through strategic weeding/deaccessioning activities. Developed the library’s first teaching laboratory for library instruction and first archives research room. Implemented policies and procedures for archival management and processing. Successfully trained and managed interns, volunteers, and researchers engaged with the library’s archival collections.

Special Collections Librarian and Archivist

Successfully coordinated the life-cycle of archives, manuscripts, personal papers, and related collections in the USF Tampa Library’s Special Collections Department. Accessioned incoming records, and managed arrangement, description, and deaccession activities through effective management, training, and leadership of employees. Established best practices, implemented Encoded Archival Description (EAD), and transitioned the department to a digital archival description program for development and provision of access to electronic finding aids and collection guides.
