  Utilising social media data to help brands understand their customers (stratification, user characteristics and trends) including development of algorithms to automatically classify and characterise social media users and help optimise CRM strategies. Working directly, often on site with large brands to find bespoke solutions to a range of issues including customer retention, CRM and promotion optimisation using customer segmentations. This often involved explaining technical and complex processes to a wide range of audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge. While my previous roles did not involve coding, within the first few months of working at Starcount I gained the ability to code proficiently in SQL and Pyspark. I have also worked on projects using Python and had working practise of many data visualisation, machine learning, data processing and modelling libraries. Show less

  During my time at APM as an underwriting assistant, I have worked on both the terrorism and cargo books of business. For the past 10 months, I have worked mainly on cargo, producing monthly bordereaux for our markets as well as aggregate reports to map changing exposures. During this time, I have focused mainly on improving data quality and presentation as well as building and maintaining relationships with our markets.More recently, I have been authorised to bind insurances on the cargo book, including putting down following lines on large risks, and quoting and binding 100% of SME risks that fit the set parameters of our binding authority.
