I've explored the multidisciplinary field of Business Development at Mimetas. The project I have worked on involved the various research projects Mimetas was working on in collaboration with other companies. Research Master combined with the track Science Based Business (SBB). The courses I followed were on immunology, cellular mechanisms, genetics and the SBB fundamentals (10 week course in Strategic Marketing Management, Financial Management, Project Management and Innovation Management). I finished my research internship with an 8,5 and Business Internship at Mimetas BV with an 8.

Master Research Internship

I did my Research Internship at Leiden Univerisity at the Chemical Immunology, Biosyn group of Sander van Kasteren. The focus of my project was the development of a suitable injectable hydrogel for region specific in vivo release of tetrazine molecules. My internship was graded with an 8,5.

Praeses/President

Full-time board for a year at the rowing society nicely located at the north of Leiderdorp. As president, you are responsible for everything that happens in and outside the society. We had a wonderfull year with an Olympic medal and national successes. Main tasks as president: - keeping my boardmembers on track and focused - contact with for example Leiden University, the municipalities of Leiden and Leiderdorp, Plaatselijke Kamer van Verenigingen (PKvV) and the board of the EL CID - exploring new opportunities - managing all projects within Asopos - ensuring the society is represented well everywhere I've learned more practical skills during this year than I could ever imagine. For example, the importance of good communication, negotiation, working with people and the importance of a good first impression. Show less
